Armed with the right tools and information, you’ll be able to take control of your retirement savings and start planning for a better future.
It can be hard to imagine what your life could be like in retirement. Many of us struggle to see – let alone plan – that far into the future.
One of the biggest barriers is that retirement income information isn’t always accessible or easy to interpret.
So we believe it’s up to us to empower our members with everything they need to start planning their retirement earlier in their lives.
Your KiwiSaver account is likely to be the foundation of your retirement plan. And while it may not look like much yet, the small changes you make to it now could make a real difference further down the track.
Here’s how our tools, tips and information can give you the confidence to make smart decisions about your future.
Shaping your retirement
We’re making it easier for you to understand how much money you might have when you stop working.
Future You®*, our online tool, helps you manage your KiwiSaver account while you’re working towards achieving your retirement lifestyle goals.
Future You shows you:
- what your KiwiSaver account balance is estimated to be by the time you’re eligible to withdraw your money,
- if you’re tracking towards your chosen retirement lifestyle goal. Choose from our No Frills, Flexible or Deluxe fixed options, or create your own retirement lifestyle goal,
- how making even small changes to your KiwiSaver account could make a difference to your lifestyle in retirement.
And if you want to make any changes to your KiwiSaver account, Future You allows you to make certain changes on the spot.
Last year, Future You won Workplace Savings NZ’s Best Overall KiwiSaver Member Experience Award, for its success at helping New Zealanders make good retirement decisions.
Transparent and trustworthy
To make great money choices, having all the information you need at your fingertips is a big help.
KiwiSaver scheme providers now have to disclose the fees their members are charged in total dollar amounts, which might come as a shock to people who have been used to seeing their fees charged as a percentage. However, we’ve been showing our members exactly what they pay in dollars ever since we launched our KiwiSaver investment funds a decade ago.
Every monthly report we send you, along with your annual statement, shows exactly how much we charge for managing your money, down to the last cent.
Our commitment to transparency extends to being open and clear about your investments.
At any time, you can go into your login to your online account and see how your money has been invested – right down to individual shares.Keeping you informed
While it’s important to have up-to-date information about your specific investments and fees, it’s also good to have access to more general financial information.
At Kiwi Wealth, we believe in giving you all the information you need about issues likely to be relevant to your future.
We have many ways of keeping you in touch, including:
- our monthly email newsletter
- posts on our blog
- social media.
We use these different channels to give you updates on issues such as:
- market updates

We also have the junction which is full of tools, information and resources. Take a look for yourself.
Remember: when you’re planning your retirement, you don’t have to go it alone. As an 100% Kiwi owned and operated company, it’s our mission to help support Kiwis like you to succeed.
