General Manager, Strategy & Partnerships
Rhiannon McKinnon leads the Strategy and Partnerships function which covers a broad remit of activities outside of business as usual, such as any potential mergers and acquisition work and the development of new business models and partnerships to compete in a digital world.
Rhiannon started working life in London as an equity research analyst for JP Morgan Cazenove and Morgan Stanley before coming to New Zealand via a year’s OE in Beijing. Since arriving in New Zealand, she has worked across corporate finance, investor relations, treasury, M&A and strategy for Murray & Company, NZ Post, Kiwibank and now Kiwi Wealth.
Rhiannon is a rare breed of ‘Sino-Welsh’, born and bred in Watford, England. She read History at the University of Cambridge before joining a graduate scheme in the City of London. She is a CFA charterholder, and has served three years on the Board of the CFA Society of New Zealand. She has also been a Board member of the NZ Film Commission and is currently President of Dress for Success, Wellington.
