Portfolio Implementation Manager
Nigel’s role as Portfolio Implementation Manager includes quantitative research, risk analysis and the design and management of trading processes, relationships and systems.
Nigel’s key responsibilities include helping implement the team’s investment decisions. His previous experience as a portfolio manager, combined with a background in systems development, means he is perfectly suited to delivering the technology solutions that best suit the needs of our clients. Nigel also manages the quantitative research systems and screening models which (given our global investment mandate), are a valuable part of our investment process.
An additional perspective Nigel brings to his role is an appreciation for the need to dig into company financials and understand the underlying drivers of long-term profitability and value. This stems from more than 10 years’ experience as a fundamental equity analyst.
Nigel has spent more than 20 years in the investment industry and draws on a wealth of previous experience from a variety of roles, including Portfolio Management at AMP Capital.
Nigel has a BSc / MCom (Hons, 1st Class) in computer science, accounting and finance from the University of Canterbury and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
